Based in Copenhagen and partners in life and music for over 26 years, Mirakel creates music that brings together Eastern and Western folk traditions, sacred music, pop, and electronica. Their sound carries both Nordic clarity and earthy warmth, blending atmospheric tones with uplifting rhythms.

At the center of Mirakel’s music are Marte’s powerful and expressive voice and Mikael’s sopranino saxophone, weaving together Nordic and oriental colors. Using live looping, they build their sound with vocals, saxophone, harp, keys, crystal singing bowls, and percussion.

Their concerts unfold organically through presence, humor, storytelling, and improvisation. Songs often include mantras and choruses that invite the audience to sing along and become part of the moment.

Mirakel’s lyrics, primarily in English, carry messages of love, light, and joy, encouraging the choice of the path of love.

Guided by a shared creative vision, Mirakel releases a new single every six weeks, always aligned with the cycles of the moon — on either a new moon or a full moon — offering a steady flow of new music.

Before embarking on the Mirakel journey, Marte and Mikael released three albums as MEGAFON. Their third album, TRISKAIDEKAMANI, received two Danish Music Award nominations for Best World Album and Best World Composer. Together since 1999, music has been a constant and central part of their lives.
